How to apply for federal financial aid

	Select a school, apply for admission and be accepted.
	After the FAFSA form has been processed, you will be notified of eligibility.
	The college will send you an award letter.
	If you qualify for a Subsidized or Unsubsidized Federal Student Loan, come to DECU, Lender #832090, for an application.
	If your award letter states there is still unmet need, your parents may borrow under the Federal PLUS loan program.
